Training Requirements

Staff will be trained in many areas such as:

  • Emergency plans
  • Evacuation procedures
  • Supervision of Children
  • Grievance policy
  • Civil rights policy
  • Shaken baby syndrome policy
  • Safe Sleep policy
  • Positive Discipline procedures
  • Addressing foreign behaviors
  • De Escalation & Crisis interventions
  • Documentation of:


  • Complaints, behaviors, concerns
  • Child progress reports
  • Incidents and reports
  • Monitoring sleep rounds
  • Daily shift notes
  • Medication  Administration Logs
  • Sanitation
  • Allergies
  • Intake procedure
  • Exit procedure


Certification Training

  • Trauma informed
  • mandated reported
  • CPR & First Aide
  • Fire safety
  • Medication Administration
  • Safety Care
  • DeEscalation Crisis Prevention


Upon hiring, staff will receive on-the-job training (HANDS-ON) with the motto, ‘Put some love in it!’

  • Personal care/ residential care consisting of:
  • Showering & Bathing schedule
  • Diapering procedure
  • oral  hygiene
  • Haircare
  • Skincare
  • Meal prep, meal patterns & meal schedules
  • Laundry & laundry schedules
  • Chores & Allowance
  • Visitation / Telephone use


Documentation of these trainings will be in the staff files and periodically reviewed if issues arise that need addressing.
